Visualizing the Future of U.S. Military Bases

The world is changing rapidly. Deloitte wanted to create a presentation for United States military base commanders to help them understand the potential of moving their bases into the future.

The Challenge – An Oldschool Audience

Deloitte needed a video that could take the complexities of upgrading military bases to modern technology and make it understandable for base commanders who have been doing things the same way for decades. While incredibly skilled at military tactics, organization, and leadership, many of the commanders were born long before the digital age. And learning about things like IoT, smart technology, and AI can be like learning a new language for the unfamiliar.

The Solution – Simplifying the Message with Visuals

Oftentimes, it’s far easier to show somebody how something works than it is to tell them. Our goal with the Smart Bases video was to use clean designs and accessible 2d animations in advertising to show how a Smart Base would be advantageous. Using these methods, we were able to create a story that flows simply and explains clearly. While a picture is worth a thousand words, a video like this is worth a million when it comes to creating understanding.
